ACTS 10: A HEBRAIC VIEW (Part 2 of 2)
WHAT DO THE UNCLEAN BEASTS REPRESENT IN THE VISION?
The unclean animals are described in the vision in the
following way:
KJV Acts 10:12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the
earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
When
given the covenant at
KJV Deuteronomy 7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the
land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations
before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and
the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the
Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
KJV Deuteronomy 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them
before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou
shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
KJV Deuteronomy 7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy
daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou
take unto thy son.
KJV Deuteronomy 7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me,
that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be
kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
However, BOTH houses of
the other gods of the land.
KJV 1 Kings 11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together
with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites,
Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;
KJV 1 Kings 11:2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto
the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they
come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after
their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD = BEASTS OF THE
FIELD
Since the nation of Israle desired to be
like the other
nations, YHVH allowed them to be sentenced to be like the other
nations. The other nations are likened to BEASTS of the FIELD.
KJV Deuteronomy
before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at
once, lest the BEASTS of the FIELD increase upon thee.
KJV Jeremiah 12:9 MINE HERITAGE is unto me as a speckled bird, the
birds round about are against her; come ye, ASSEMBLE all the BEASTS of
the FIELD, come to DEVOUR.
KJV Jeremiah 27:6 And now have I given all these lands into the hand
of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the BEASTS OF
THE FIELD have I given him also to serve him.
KJV Ezekiel 34:5 And they were SCATTERED, because there is NO
SHEPHERD and they became MEATt to all the BEASTS of the FIELD, when they were
scattered.
KJV Daniel 7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one
from another.
KJV Hosea
she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and
I will make them a forest, and the BEASTS of the FIELD shall EAT THEM.
CONCLUSION: When the nation of
they were given over to there enemies who are called the BEASTS OF
THE FIELD.
YOU WILL
BECOME WHAT YOU DESIRE
Since the nation
of
nations, they were sentenced by YHVH to be like them.
KJV Hosea
KJV 2 Chronicles 24:18 And they left the house of the LORD God of
their fathers, and served groves and IDOLS: and wrath came upon
and
KJV Psalm 115:4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's
hands.
KJV Psalm 115:5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they,
but they see not:
KJV Psalm 115:6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they,
but they smell not:
KJV Psalm 115:7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they,
but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
KJV Psalm 115:8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every
one that trusteth in them.
By lusting after the IDOLS of the
nations, Ephraim and Judah
became like the nations who are called BEASTS.
KJV Romans
not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their
imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
KJV Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise (following after
their own hearts desire), they became fools (departing from Torah)
KJV Romans 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an
image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted
beasts, and creeping things.
When you worship idols, you
change the image of God into an
image of birds, fourfooted beasts and creeping things.
CONCLUSION: The nation of
(the Torah / image of God) and worshipped
the idols of the nations desiring to be
like the nations who are called the
"beasts of the field". In doing so, they bacame likened to
the nations of the world who are described as being
birds, beasts and creeping things.
ACTS 10 VISION = FOWLS OF THE AIR, BEASTS AND CREEPING THINGS
KJV Acts
earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
This vision
represented the nation of
(specifically the
other nations desiring to be like them. So, they became like them.
The Northern Kingdom in
their exile into the nations are
prophetically given the name JEZREEL.
KJV Hosea 1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which
conceived, and bare him a son.
KJV Hosea 1:4 And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel
Jezreel means "God will sow /
scattered".
The Northern Kingdom desired to be like
the other nations so
they were exiled by YHVH into the nations and became like them.
ISRAEL
REDEEMED TO BE REUNITED WITH JUDAH
KJV Hosea 1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as
the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it
shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye
are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the SONS
of the LIVING GOD.
This is the REDEMPTION of the NORTHERN KINGDOM.
KJV Hosea 1:11 Then shall the CHILDREN of JUDAH and the CHILDREN OF
ISRAEL be GATHERED together, and APPOINT themselves ONE HEAD, and they
shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
This is the REGATHERING of Israel AND Judah.
However, PRIOR to be redeemed FROM the nations of the world, the
Northern Kingdom is likened unto fowls, beasts of the field, creeping
things.
NORTHERN KINGDOM IS LIKE THE BEASTS OF THE FIELD
KJV Hosea 2:14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her
into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
KJV Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a COVENANT for them with
the BEASTS of the FIELD, and with the FOWLS of HEAVEN, and with the
CREEPING THINGS of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword
and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down
safely.
KJV Hosea 2:19 And I will BETROTH thee unto me FOR EVER;
In redeeming the
Northern Kingdom, YHVH would make a
COVENANT with the BEASTS OF THE FILED and BETROTH them unto Him.
This COVENANT is the NEW
COVENANT which was made with the
HOUSE OF ISRAEL and the HOUSE OF JUDAH.
KJV Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of
Judah:
ACTS 10 BEASTS OF FIELD = NORTHERN KINGDOM IN EXILE and
NATIONS OF THE WORLD
KJV Acts 10:12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the

the BEASTS of the FIELD, and with the FOWLS of HEAVEN, and with the

ACTS 10 = PETER TOLD TO
KILL AND EAT
KJV Acts 10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and
eat.
The following observation is
made by Avi Ben Mordechai in
his book, "Messiah: Volume 3".
When Peter was told to kill and eat, he
was told to perform a
"zevach shelamim korban" (the slaughter of a peace offering).
"Zevach" (the slaughter or
killing of a sacrifice) in used in
Genesis 31:54.
KJV Genesis 31:54 Then Jacob offered sacrifice <02077> upon the mount,
and
called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried
all night in the mount.

The "zebach" (the slaughter or killing
of a sacrifice) was for
the purpose of having a COVENANT meal.
The vision was about the fowls, beasts, creeping
things
(Northern Kingdom in exile and the nations of the world) now being in
covenant relationship with YHVH through Yeshua / Jesus and Peter
(representing Judah) being willing to have TABLE FELLOWSHIP with the
non-Jew.
The sheet (tallit katan) knitted on four side
(tzi-tzit on the
corners) represented the UNION / MARRIAGE of Jew (represented by
Peter) and non-Jew (Northern Kingdom in exile and the nations of the
world as represented by Cornelius and the three men) who are now to
be in TABLE FELLOWSHIP because Messiah has made PEACE (been made a
PEACE OFFERING) between those "near" (Jews / Southern Kingdom) and
those "far off" (Israel / Northern Kingdom) (Ephesians 2:13-17).
DON'T CALL THE
NORTHERN KINGDOM UNCLEAN
KJV Acts 10:17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision
which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from
Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the
gate,
KJV Acts 10:19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto
him, Behold, three men seek thee.
The LITERAL meaning of the vision (eat unclean foods)
made NO
SENSE to Peter. When the three men came to Peter's house, he
understood that the vision was about the THREE MEN (non-Jew).
KJV Acts 10:20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them,
doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
OBVIOUSLY, Peter WOULD have DOUBTED
having TABLE FELLOWSHIP
with the THREE MEN without the vision.
It was a JEWISH CUSTOM (ORAL TRADITION)
that a JEW would NOT
go into the house of a non-Jew because they feared that the non-Jew
wouldn't be keeping the SANCTITY laws of the Torah.
However, Peter understand from the vision
that YHVH was
telling him to call NO MAN UNCLEAN (Northern Kingdom in exile and
the nations of the world) whom YHVH has made clean (through the
atoning work of the Messiah).
KJV Acts 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an
unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto
one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should NOT CALL
any MAN common or UNCLEAN.
THE NATION OF ISRAEL ARE MEN
The children of Israel are called MAN / MEN
(Adam) in Ezekiel
34:31.
KJV Ezekiel 34:31 And ye MY FLOCK, the flock of my pasture, are MEN,
and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD.
Peter was told to NOT call any MAN unclean whom YHVH
has made clean. The flock of YHVH's pasture are called MEN in Ezekiel
34:31.
ACTS 10 VISION = YHVH IS NOT A RESPECTOR OF
PERSONS
From the vision, Peter understood that YHVH is
not a respector
of persons. He received the non-Jew as well as the Jew.
KJV Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I
PERCEIVE that God is no respecter of persons:
KJV Acts 10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh
righteousness, is accepted with him.
ACTS 10: CONCLUSION
From this study, we have seen that the Acts 10
vision of the
fowls, beasts, creeping things etc was speaking about the condition /
status of the Northern Kingdom in exile who had departed from Torah
and were cast into the nations and became likened unto them as well
as the nations of the world who would receive Yeshua / Jesus as
Messiah and thus the Jew (represented by Peter) was commanded to
receive the non-Jew and have table fellowship with them. This table
fellowship is likened to a PEACE OFFERING (kill and eat) and a
WEDDING (represented by the sheet (tallit katan) that had four
corners (tzi-tzit or fringes on the corner of the sheet)).
This visoin had NOTHING to do with YHVH telling Peter
that is
was OK for him to eat unclean foods.
